Electra’s March Tour to SXSW and New York
April 14th, 2011
Dear friends,
After a mad and magnificent month we are back from our travels to the USA with a handful of great experiences and a lot of good press
We would love to share these experiences with you and give you a taste of the past month:
Electra started their tour at SXSW, their first show was at the Spider house which is a really cool venue in Austin followed by a show at the Anova showcase. The band had 3 more shows during SXSW week.
The band was chosen as number 47 in the “Pastes 100 bands at SXSW”
After the great SXSW experience Electra arrived in New York, their first show was on a cold and icy night (you must remember we are not used to that as Mediterranean people) at the Piano’s to a great crowed, check out this great review from that evening.
To all the good people of Seattle – I promise they will be coming to play at you next time around
After a second show at Machless bar the band head out to Washington to play at the amazing Millennium stage at the very famous Kenedy Center. 300 people turned up to the show and loved it… This is the Kennedy center link to the show
Back in New York Electra was invited to play a session on Steven Van Zandt “Garage Underground” radio/ website called Fuzztopia, and was recorded and filmed for NYC BreakThru Radio TV

Thank You to all the great people we met on the way !!!
SOON TO RETURN
Eatliz’s March Tour to CMW & SXSW
April 14th, 2011
Dear friends,
After a mad and magnificent month we are back from our travels to Canada and the USA with a handful of great experiences and a lot of good press
We would love to share these experiences with you and give you a taste of the past month:
Eatliz arrived in the beginning of the month in Toronto for Canadian Music Week and on the morning of their show they played live on the Canadian morning show, Canada AM. This is what we filmed behind the scenes
They were also picked as one of the “must see” shows of CMW by Toronto Sun and the National Post. The Legendary Alan Cross from edge 102.1fm featured Eatliz’s amazing animation music video
After their successful debut in Toronto the band headed out to Austin for the great SXSW festival. Their debut show was a special cinematic performance with screening of the band’s award winning music videos while playing live to the audience followed by an interview with the director of their music videos, Yuval Nathan.

This is what heeb magazine wrote about this show. That same night they played the Anova Showcase to a loving crowed. Eatliz had 4 additional shows that were very successful…
The band was also interviewed by Strictly Global US TV show, and by public media Texas.
You can check out the Hipster Jew recommendation
After the hectic SXSW week they started their Austin to New York tour with Sci-Fi-Funk-Fusion NY based band Consider The Source. This is a review from Raleigh North Carolina
Eatliz ended their North America tour with an acoustic session for Alan Cross’s ExploreMusic and with a festive concert in Toronto’s Rivoli club, joining forces with local band Everyone’s talking.
This American experience was a great one for us and we want to thank all the people we met on the way.
SOON TO RETURN
Electra Releases New Album – Heartbreaks For Fools!
July 15th, 2010

You might not expect such an eclectic and rich mixture of themes coming from a super-tight trio, but Heartbreaks For Fools, the new Electra album, is just that – a passionate, driven, fun album.
It reflects the band’s background of 50 US rockabilly to 70 UK punk, along with the humidity of their hometown of Tel Aviv, of 2010, where they already conquered the number one chart position.
Coming from this troubled area, Electra is making a clear pro-peace statement and does not hesitate to confront the current Israeli politics.
Electra has achieved their place in the top of the local scene, as one of the most toured bands around brining energy packed gigs that takes no prisoners and leaves no one indifferent.
Their new album is a unique mixture of classic and modern rock’n'roll, psychedelic pop to ska, garage rock to glam. It’s romantic and restless, diverse and unified, while the lyrics deal with alienation in modern times side by side with twisted love songs.

Albert Beger signs with Anova Records!
April 25th, 2010
(We’re thrilled to write this message – )
Anova Records proudly presents that the much respectful saxophone player Albert Beger will record his next album in the Anova Music Studios and will release it with us!

We think (and that’s what’s count, isn’t it?) that Albert is one of the most important musicians in Israel today. A pioneering, challenging musician, who treats his art as a vivid, crucial thing and goes all the way. And still, we didn’t throw the term ‘free-jazz’ to the air.
Albert released eight albums so far, where he handled all sorts of jazz – funky, melodic, bop, ah – yes – free jazz, avant-garde and much more.
He also got a worldwide recognition after the two parts of his Evolving Silence sessions with Hamid Drake and William Parker were released and critically acclaimed.

In May 2010, Albert will enter our studios with his new quintet, to record Peacemaker, a five pieces suit that is all a cry for love and peace.
Albert’s quintet :
Ido Bukleman – Guitars
Avi Elbaz – Laptop electronics
Asaf Hakimi – Double Bass
Daniel Benedict – Drums
Albert Beger – Tenor and Soprano Sax, Bass Clarinet
May 2009, Ruth Dolores Weiss got back to Israel and looked for a new spark to sing and play. Coincidental encounter with the poetry of Rachel ‘Here I take’, led to exposure of new world, build through the concept of non-verbal of a look:
the look translates into a feeling, the feeling is built with words, words become a song, poem Makes the melody.
While Listening to Ruth’s composed song, the process is going on reverse – the listener listens to a song, poem dismantled words, words make sense and feeling turns into a look, just like Rachel’s look.
Hine E’kah – Ruth Dollores Wiess (Vocals, Piano) Yahu Yaron (Contra Bass) Sefi Zisling

Video kills the radio star ?
November 2nd, 2009
2008 was the year Eatliz released the first single. Attractive. The single was followed with animated video clip produced by Yuval and Merav Natan.
This October, the video clip was chosen at the Israeli Music Channel to no less than the title ‘Video of the decade’. True, Violently Delicate, Eatliz’s debut album wasn’t released lately, and for those of you that have been with us for a while, it can’t be called ‘breaking news’. But if you have been with us for a while you also probably know that we’re not gonna leave you empty handed;
Delicately Violente, the new EP will be released at the 25 of this very month, at the Barbi club in TLV, and will be filmed to a DVD. 2 songs already have been given by the band for free, and now its time for a very new video clip to the third song given only to subscribed mailing list members.
This time, the focus took a bigger part of the game, so we recorded Eatliz playing live on the street, at the south side of Tel Aviv. Delicatly Violent, will be released on the 25th of November at Barbi TLV, Discounts will be given to mailing list members.
